Digitaldubs, one of the pioneers in Brazil’s sound system culture, launches “Refavela Remix”, an updated version of Gilberto Gil’s classic, featuring his own vocals, Bem Gil on guitar and MC Jeru Banto on mic.
The single revives the song and its origins in the 1970s black universe, broadening its delicate libertarian message and dancing vocation. Accurate and timely, the brand new version of this ancestral drumming targets the cliffs and spreads ideas as current as 40 years ago.
