Lenine brings a new approach to a classic Cat Stevens song

Lenine, one of the most inventive and acclaimed Brazilian musicians, continues to be in constant activity and always looking for new approaches and formats.

This time, the novelty arrives with a reinterpretation of Where Do The Children Play ? A classic folk music released in 1970 by Cat Stevens (who today uses the name Yusuf Islam). The track is part of one of his most commercially and artistically successful albums, the acclaimed Tea For The Tillerman.

The version is part of the Girão Sessions project, in which a group of session musicians brings differentiated partnerships with famous singers from different styles.

This time, in addition to Lenine on vocals, we had a team composed of Fabio Girão (bass), Marcos Amorim (guitars), Nito Lima (guitars) and André Barion (keyboards and programming). Already in the cast were Frejat, Alice Caymmi, Toni Garrido, Zé Renato and MPB4.
