Brazilian developer creates free app that separates songs into voice tracks and instruments

Named “Moisés”, in reference to the biblical character that separated the Red Sea, the platform is available on the Internet and can be used by anyone after simple registration and facilitates the creation of samplers and karaoke versions.

According to the developer, who is an amateur drummer in his spare time, the idea came after he found an open source algorithm developed by researchers at the Deezer audio streaming service, called Spleeter, that allows the instruments to be separated from a song.

The project was done in a week, in the house where he lives. To use the tool, you need to register for free and access with the email. Then users can upload the song they want to split, either in mp3 format or via some YouTube link.
